An Оpen day for schools and colleges of Shymkent city was held at the Agrarian Faculty
On the 5th of April, 2024, an open day was held at the Agrarian Faculty of the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov with the participation of graduates of secondary schools, gymnasium schools and colleges of the Shymkent city. During the event, videos about the specialties and history of the faculty were shown, and graduates were given booklets and information leaflets.
The event was opened by the dean of the “Agrarian” Faculty, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences G.Tastanbekova. Gulnara Rakhimberdyevna, who spoke in detail about the main activities, goals and objectives of the faculty, as well as the work of scientific laboratories, educational complex “Jaskeshu” and “Kainar Bulak”.
Next, the heads of the department “Crop and Livestock Production”, Candidate of Biological Sciences Aset Zhylkibayev, the department “Water Resources, Land Use and Agrotechnology”, Candidate of Technical Sciences, docent Parida Sultanbekova and the department “Veterinary Medicine”, PhD Aisulu Kuzerbaeva spoke.
Guests of the Open Day also listened to the greeting from the director of the South Kazakhstan regional branch of the Republican State Enterprise "Republican Veterinary Laboratory" with the right of economic management of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kazakhstan Republic Askar Kaltaev, regional sales representative of Enza Zaden Kazakhstan LLP Timur Karmanov, engineer-lawyer of «Su Arnasy-5S» LLP Nurbol Seydirov, office manager of the foreign company Century Story-Com LLP Damira Turganaly, the head of the branch of the South Kazakhstan Research Veterinary Station of the Kazakh Research Veterinary Institute Berik Lesov and a student of the AP-22-6k2 group who studied by academic mobility program at the Lublin Polytechnic University (Poland) Altynbek Makulbek.
The event was attended by more than 150 graduates who became acquainted with the procedure for the upcoming admission to SKU. From the exhibition of achievements, as well as introductory lectures, they learned a lot of interesting things about agricultural specialties, and watched concert performances with the participation of students of the Agrarian Faculty.
