Based on the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov on the 22^nd of December, 2023, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative development of the agro-industrial complex: experience, problems and ways to solve them” was held, dedicated to the 20^th anniversary of the Agrarian Faculty within the framework of the 80^th anniversary of the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov.
The conference was opened by the Chairman of the Board-Rector, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor D.P. Kozhamzharova with congratulations and awarding the faculty members with the “Mukhtar Auezov” badge.
With welcoming words and congratulations to the dean of the faculty and the staff spoke Vice-Rector of Scientific Activities of Shymkent University, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences N.N. Azhimetov; Director of the Turkestan Regional Branch of the State Commission for Variety Testing of Agricultural Crops of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kazakhstan Republic  G.K. Zhumzhaev; Chairman of the Board of the South-Western Research Institute of Animal Husbandry and Plant Growing LLP, PhD Sh.S. Koskaraeva; Head of the Department of Internal Non-Contagious Diseases, Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology, docent N.B. Ruzikulov; Deputy General Director of Water Resources-Marketing LLP B.P. Yeshimbetov; Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture of the Turkestan region E.A. Zhanibekov and graduates.

At the plenary session and sections, reports were heard that discussed scientific and practical aspects of the diagnosis of parasitic diseases (Professor of the St. Petersburg State University of Veterinary Medicine - L.M. Belova), agricultural technologies for cultivating crops in a new innovative system (academician of the Agricultural Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, head researcher of the SWSRIAHCP - D.A. Sydyk), techniques that promote water saving during irrigation (Head of the technical department of the South Kazakhstan hydro-geological reclamation expedition of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kazakhstan Republic - K.A. Anzelm), integrated use of water (PhD of Izmir Ege University - M. Kylych), cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine with universities of Uzbekistan (docent of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology - M. Isaev), innovative approaches to the sustainable development of crop production (Director of the knowledge dissemination center Yassaui Agricultural Academy of the Kazakhstan Republic, PhD - B.M. Dzhumakhanov).
In their reports and messages, the conference participants emphasized that ensuring the country's food independence in modern economic conditions should be based on the scientific and technological development of the industry, the dissemination and development of best practices.
Based on the results of the conference, its participants adopted a resolution, which was approved and put into action.
