The staff of the Agrarian Faculty celebrated the National Day of the Kazakh people - Meeting Day
On the 14th of March, 2024, the dean of the faculty G.R. Tastanbekova held a festive meeting with the teaching staff and students, at which everyone exchanged heartfelt congratulations. Gulnara Rakhimberdyevna noted that this is a day of greeting and showing respect to elders, as well as the first celebration of the onset of spring. Translated from the Kazakh language, literally “korisu” means “to meet” or “meeting”. On this day, it is customary to visit each other and congratulate each other on the arrival of spring. In ancient times, it was on this day that the Kazakhs, who led a predominantly nomadic lifestyle, after long cold winter nomads, went to visit neighboring villages to make sure that everyone had survived the winter safely, to find out how things were going, and to exchange steppe news.
